On Wednesday a federal grand jury in South Dakota indicted Erickson on 11 counts of wire fraud and money laundering charges, according to ABC News. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi seemed to throw shade on the Green New Deal being proposed by progressive congresspeople like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.

The California Democrat made her disparaging remarks when speaking with Politico earlier this week:

“It will be one of several or maybe many suggestions that we receive,” Pelosi said.

In a speech to the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday, Chairman Elijah Cummings, D-Md., did not hold back while arguing that “most Republicans” have tried to keep people from voting by “cutting back on early voting, eliminating polling places, and taking other steps to reduce the number of people who vote.”
